Trail and facility assessment is ongoing in the Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District, which encompasses over 70,000 acres in the Santa Cruz Mountains. Those include Lake Chabot Regional Park, Del Valle Regional Park and Sunol Regional Wilderness Preserve. In total, the system has completely shuttered 16 parks and partially closed 37 parks.Īll of the parks in the East Bay Regional Park system are closed Wednesday and Thursday. Parks that are partially closed include Angel Island, China Camp, Mount Tamalpais and Samuel P. They include the full closure of Big Basin Redwoods and Sugarloaf Ridge state parks. You could see it from the plazas on either side, Battery Spencer, or Fort Point to name a few. There are countless vantage points one could view the Golden Gate Bridge from. ![]()
